This past Saturday I mysteriously found myself at Sephora. I have no idea how I got there … it’s a huge mystery. I swear! I blame it all on Gouldylox and her post about YSL’s Glossy Stain. She sold me on the product’s awesomeness, so I went to pick up my own. See the evidence below:
Snatched it up in Rouge Gouache
While checking out, my fabulous cashier (her name is Diamond, what’s more fab than that?) offered me a Tory Burch fragrance sample. Of course I said yes, who do you think I am? I never got on the Tory Burch bandwagon, so I wasn’t expecting much out of the fragrance. I assumed I would be whelmed by it. Not overwhelmed and not underwhelmed, just whelmed.
Tory Burch Fragrance
I was wrong, as I often am but never admit. I was pleasantly surprised by the fragrance. It’s sophisticated without being overly feminine or overbearing. And, I’ve decided it reminds me of a slightly more subtle version of Chloé Eau de Parfum. Since that is a crap description of what it actually smells like, I’ll let Sephora take it from here:
The first fragrance from Tory Burch captures classic elements in unexpected ways: feminine and tomboy, easy and polished. Floral peony and tuberose blend with crisp citrus notes of grapefruit and neroli anchored by earthy vetiver—a bright and complex mix. The fragrance comes in a super-chic glass bottle with a signature fretwork top. Notes: Neroli, Grapefruit, Cassis, Bergamot, Peony, Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Vetiver, Sandalwood.
